DRY TESTING
Holiday Detection Test - Also known as Dry Testing. This type of test is perfect for those dry days the UK is renowned for.
Dry Testing is compatible with 99% of flat roof materials. EDPM is untestable via ELD due to the materials make up being conductive.
Method
Our specialist detector equipment delivers a stabilised DC output voltage across the waterproofing membrane that is being tested. Breaches in the membrane, once detected, are
then highlighted to our field technician. All known breaches will then be clearly marked up.
WET TESTING
Earth Leakage Detection - Also known as The Wet Test. This type of test is commonly used and is compatible with 99% of flat roof materials. As with Dry Testing EDPM materials are untestable via this method due to the materials build up being conductive.
Method
Our specialist testing equipment relies on the electrically conductive properties of water. The generator immits an electrical pulse across the roofs surface via a boundary wire, with a penetration creating a short circuit. This will direct our field technician to the point of ingress.
DECK SCANNER - MOISTURE MAPPING
Mobile Deck Scanner - also known as Moisture Mapping. This type of test is ideal for reading the moisture levels in your flat roof. This equipment also comes in a hand held variety to make sure we reach into those smaller areas.
Method
Our specialist testing equipment is a mobile impedance scanner that carries out non destructive readings of the moisture conditions in your flat roof. This is done via a non destructive electrical signal transmitted through electrodes at the base of the scanner. This type of test can only be carried out when the weather conditions are dry.
